Test a licence file
The licence server download includes a small test you can give any of our licence files to, whether it’s your main licence or one you made for a client. It’s worth running before you send a licence on or install it, and it needs no connection.

Give it the licence
On Linux or a Mac, run ./test-licence client.lic, or put the licence files in the same folder and run ./test-licence on its own. On Windows, drag the licence file onto test-licence.cmd.

Read the answer
It says what kind of licence it is, who it’s for, the dates it runs between and what it includes, then whether it works on this computer today and, if not, what to do.
