Every dated version of the API. Additive changes reach every version and are not listed here.

1. 2026-10-14

   Current

   You can now send documents for signing through the API, with Unforged Sig.

   • POST /sig/packages takes your documents and the people who need to sign. We find where each of them signs and email them their link.
   • GET /sig/packages/{package_id} shows where a package has got to: who has opened it, who has signed and who is still to sign. You can remind people, correct a signer's details or void the package.
   • Once everyone has signed, download each signed copy and the certificate of signing, and send any copy to POST /sig/check to see whether it has changed since.
   • A webhook can tell you when someone views, signs or declines, and when the signed copies are ready.
   • Each person on a package can sign, witness someone who signs, approve the package before the signers get it, or just get the signed copy. Besides signatures, initials and dates, you can ask people to write their name or some text, tick a box, pick from a list or attach a file, and leave them a note. Send a draft with no signers and we'll read the documents and add the people they name for you to fill in.
   • A signed document costs the same through the API as in the app, and nothing else changes: if you stay on 2026-10-05, Sig works just the same.

2. 2026-10-05

   Prices and balances are in your organisation's billing currency.

   • That's pounds for organisations in the UK and dollars everywhere else.
   • Money fields drop their _usd suffix: unit_price, overage_unit_price, contract_value, committed_amount, estimated_charge, granted, remaining and credit_remaining.amount.
   • Each money field comes with a currency, gbp or usd.
   • In GET /billing/credits, credit we have granted your organisation has kind: "grant". Update any code that matches the older value.
   • GET /me shows the credit you have left, in billing.credit.
   • If you stay on 2026-09-27 the field names don't change, but the amounts are in your billing currency.

3. 2026-09-27

   The first published version of the Unforged API.

   • Endpoints shared across products, such as /me and billing, sit at the root, and Unforged Nib sits under /nib/.
   • No URL carries a version.
   • Every result gives back the references you sent: subject_reference, reference, process and metadata.
   • Every result names the versions that produced it: model, policy and api_version.
