Loupe / Your sector / Lenders and brokers

Document fraud detection for lenders:  Affordability is only as good as the payslips behind it.

Loupe checks the payslips, bank statements and employer letters that come in with an application and tells your underwriters which ones have been changed, and where. A clean pack carries on, and a doubtful one waits for a person.

What you’re sent

The documents that decide a loan, and what people change on them

  • Payslips

    A higher salary

Net pay that no longer follows from the lines above it, or a figure set in a near-match typeface.

  • Bank statements

    A tidier balance

Running balances that don’t follow the transactions, and a page swapped in from another month.

  • Employer letters

    A job that isn’t there

A letter made in a photo editor the night before, or a signature pasted in from elsewhere.

Where it fits

Before the underwriter, not after the default

Send the pack as soon as the applicant uploads it. By the time an underwriter opens the case, the result is waiting, with any marked pages beside it.

  1. 01

The applicant uploads their documents through your usual journey.

  2. 02

Loupe checks each document and the pack together.

  3. 03

Looks genuine: the case carries on. Needs a look: it goes to an underwriter.

  4. 04

The underwriter’s decision and reason are kept with the result.

Bring a few of the documents you’re sent, and we’ll check them with you.

It’s £1 for each document checked. Bring a few you weren’t sure about to a walkthrough and we’ll go through them with you.
