Who folio is for

Every profession organises its records around something: a matter, a client’s year, a person, a tenancy, an account or a case. folio will keep everything that belongs to it together, for as long as your rules say, and you’ll be able to see who has looked at any of it and why.

  • Law firms

    The matter

Everything on a matter will sit in one folder, kept for as long as your policy says.

  • Accountants and advisers

    The client year

Each client’s year will be filed together, so next year’s question is one search away.

  • People and HR

    The person

Each person will have a folder, and you’ll be able to protect it so every view needs a reason.

  • Property and housing

    The tenancy

The agreement, the deposit papers and every notice will stay together for the life of the tenancy, and after it.

  • Finance and lending

    The account

Agreements and mandates will be kept for each account until retention ends, then disposed of.

  • Public sector

    The case

Each case file will be kept by its rule, and every view will go in your ledger.

Something else to keep?

If your work doesn’t fit any of these, tell us what you have to keep and we’ll talk it through.

For now, please don’t store health information in folio.
