# Claims document fraud detection: An inflated claim usually comes with a convincing receipt.

> Loupe checks the invoices, receipts and estimates that come in with a claim and marks the ones that have been edited, so your handlers spend their time on the claims that need it.

## The paperwork behind a claim, and what gets changed

- **Invoices and receipts** (a bigger total): Line items that don't sum to the total, or a total set in a different typeface.
- **Repair estimates** (extra work added): A line added in a later version of the file, after the garage issued it.
- **Proof of purchase** (someone else's receipt): A date or name typed over, or a receipt generated from scratch.

## Alongside your claims system, not in place of it

Send documents as they arrive. A clean result lets a straightforward claim move on, and a flagged one goes to a handler with the reasons attached.

1. The customer uploads their documents with the claim.
2. Loupe checks each one.
3. Clean claims move on, and flagged ones go to a handler.
4. The handler's decision is kept with the claim.
